A multidisciplinary performer and trained classical singer, Meris seeks to combine opera singing with clowning, dance, and circus arts to shake the establishment of grand opera, and make it more accessible to audiences in grassroots theatre environments. This is just one of many areas of focus for Meris, as she can also be found managing the Dusty Flowerpot stage, high above the ground stiltwalking, as one of the Ladies in White, in any number of dance performances, or impersonating as many characters as she can. In 2008, Meris had the honour of performing in several acts at the In The House Festival, stiltwalking and bringing the Ladies In White to the Vancouver Folk Festival's Mainstage, dancing with the Vancouver Thriller Dancers on numerous occasions, and several other Dusty Flowerpot-related events. She has previously performed with UBC Opera, and studied with soprano Karen Nimereala-Acampora, and tenor Roelof Oostwoud.
