Basil is a professional visual artist, stage designer, and network administrator with the DFC. He helps manifest opportunities for the incredible artisans of the Dusty Flowerpot to do what they were born to do: freak. He also rocks steady with a number of other local artist's crews, including the Inkspoon print syndicate and the Ecdysis visual arts collective. With a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from UBC, and professional training in the field of community organizing, Basil invests himself fully towards facilitating squishy-subversive social change. His visual work has been exhibited in galleries and at festivals locally and internationally including The Fall and the Lumspace Gallery in Vancouver, BC and the FLU/ORG Protocolo Nucle.ART festival in Santiago, Chile. He has done design, campaign, and outreach work for multiple community groups around Vancouver, and printed for the 2006 OQOQO Local Artist's Series. He presently lives and organizes in the Republic of East Van.
